Several years ago I purchased a small franchise that I could operate from my home. In hindsight I wish I had gotten involved in a network marketing business instead.

Cost to purchase the franchise - $47,000 US Cost to become a distributor - $29 US per year

Product Samples - $7,000 per year Product Samples - approximately $2,000 per year
Business Loan Interest - $6,000 per year Business Loan Interest - $0.00


As you can see, purchasing and operating a franchise was far more expensive then getting involved in a network marketing business.

Aside from cost savings, there are many other benefits to running a network marketing business versus owning and operating a franchise.

Some of the additional benefits of running a network marketing business are:

  • Leveraged income.
  • Distributors keep little to no inventory on hand.
  • Consumers can order products on the Internet or over the phone with or without direct involvement from the Distributor.
  • Company ships the products directly to the consumers. With my franchise I had to deal with a lot of shipping issues.
  • Work from home.
  • Recruiting, coaching and training new distributors to build a successful business of their own.
  • Meeting new people and making new friends.
  • Excellent way to broaden your sales skills and interpersonal skills.

When it comes to creating wealth, one of the least expensive ways to do that is network marketing.

Keys to Being Successful in Network Marketing

A few examples are companies that sell nutritional products, or health and wellness products, or perhaps a juicing company.

The next key to being successful in network marketing is to do your due diligence and research the network marketing companies that you think you would like to become a part of.

Check out their history, both financial and credibility.

Try their products. Review their compensation plans.

Find out how often you will be paid for your sales.

Check out their policies and procedures for any restrictions on how you can operate your business.

If you come across things in your research that make you feel unsure or uncomfortable, continue to investigate further or move on to a different company.

Like any business, network marketing is not meant to be a get rich quick scheme. It is a business that you build over a period of time.

How long that takes will depend on the amount of time that you are able to dedicate to your business.

Therefore, it is important that you find something that you truly enjoy and are passionate about.

Having a sincere passion for the type of network marketing business that you get involved in will definitely help you build a successful network marketing business.

Another very important key to being successful in network marketing is to build a strong and successful network marketing team.

The best network marketing leaders understand that they are only going to do well if their team does well. Therefore, they work hard to support, mentor and train their team members to be the best that they can possibly be.
